Saint Vincent’s offers in-home and community-based treatment services for children, youth, and families in Southeastern MA as part of the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI). In-Home Therapy and Therapeutic Mentoring Services are available within the community for children and youth under the age of 21 who meet eligibility requirements, thus reducing the need for out-of-home placement.
Bi-lingual staff is available to assist with services in English and Spanish. Services are third-party reimbursable through the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership (MBHP), Beacon Strategies (BMC HealthNet Plan, Fallon Community Health Plan, and Neighborhood Health Plan) and Network Health.
In-Home Therapy services assist the child and family with support in treating behavioral health needs and helping each family care for their child within the family home. Delivered by one or more members of Saint Vincent’s professional therapeutic support team, In-Home Therapy improves the child’s overall functioning and strengthens family supports and structures to sustain permanence and well-being. Services include a 24/7 urgent response capability. In-Home Therapy can help the child or family to resolve conflicts, learn new ways to do things, set effective limits, and find helpful community resources.
Therapeutic Mentoring services are available to referred-youth who require one-to-one coaching, training, and support from a highly trained Therapeutic Mentor. Services focus on helping the youth develop age-appropriate behaviors within their relationships at home, in school, and within the broader community. Youth with heightened behavioral health needs receive support and coaching to address daily living and social skills. Therapeutic Mentoring is provided as one component of an overall clinically-driven treatment plan and is supervised by a licensed clinician.
