What Saint Vincent's Means to Me...

If I wasn’t at Saint Vincent’s, I really don’t know where I would be. They help me to behave and be good, so I can go home. Saint Vincent’s has some great stuff like video games and off-grounds trips. They have given me my own bedroom, clothes, food, and doctors that help me. They give me Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, and lots of stuff all the time. ~ Celia, age 6
Saint Vincent’s has helped me incredibly over the last couple of years. When I first got here, I was very depressed. Saint Vincent’s has helped me decrease my anger and become a happier person. Now, although I’m not at home with my family, I’m enjoying life. I would like to thank all the staff for helping me through my struggles. ~ EJ, age 17
To me, Saint Vincent’s is a place to go when I need help changing my behavior. It’s about the great staff helping me when I get angry, sad, or anxious. It’s about the great teachers helping me get ready for the future and college. ~ Amie, age 13
Saint Vincent’s is a place that has always been there for me. If I’m being unsafe or even rude, staff still works with me. Saint Vincent’s is a place that has given me food, a home, a bed, and clothes. Saint Vincent’s has kept me safe. They give me a place to live and a clean room. They also plan great activities. If it wasn’t for Saint Vincent’s, I might be some where that I do not want to be… like jail. ~ JJ, age 15
To me, Saint Vincent’s means fun, laughs, and friends. If it weren’t for Saint Vincent’s, I would be homeless, struggling to stay alive, and very unhappy. Saint Vincent’s means a lot to me. Saint Vincent’s gives me happiness. Without Saint Vincent’s, I would feel like I have no where to go. ~ Kenney, age 11
Saint Vincent’s, to me, means: funny moments, cool friends, and nice and cool staff. The staff helps me make it through the school year. It was hard when I first got here. I didn’t know anyone, but during my first week here, the staff bought me a birthday cake. Saint Vincent’s is really not a bad place to be. ~ Lin, age 10
To me, Saint Vincent’s means staff that care. The staff helps me when I have a problem. They feed me and teach me what I need to know. Saint Vincent’s does a lot for me. If Saint Vincent’s was not here for me, I would be living on the streets without food or a bed or even a teacher. ~ TC, age |
