SAINT VINCENT’S HONORS STAFF WITH 2009 MISSION AWARDS

On Wednesday September 30th, Saint Vincent’s held its 12th Annual Mission Awards Celebration in recognition of seven individuals who have made a significant contribution to children and youth. The seven recipients, Sonya Botelho, Dee Briand, Alison Camara, Alex Dias, Michaela Gagne, Zachary Schwartz, and Sheila Wilkins were nominated by their peers for this once-in-a-lifetime achievement award. Most Reverend George W. Coleman, Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fall River, Sister Rosemary Laliberte, RSM, and Saint Vincent’s Executive Director, Jack Weldon presented the recipients with awards for outstanding service in fulfilling Saint Vincent’s Mission.

The honorees were nominated and received the 2009 Mission Award, because they have embodied Saint Vincent’s mission of “Giving Children and Families in Need What They Need Most.” Mr. Weldon said to the large crowd of staff, family, and friends who gathered in The Chapel to celebrate the recipients, “The Mission of Saint Vincent’s is realized through the dedication and commitment of our staff members who help children and their families in countless ways.”
